Under the guidance of Mrs. Anitha Ramesh, Principal of JSS Public School, Ooty, a group of students from Class XI had the privilege of attending a meeting hosted by Rotary Ooty Central on the auspicious occasion of World Interact Day. Representing the school were Sanjay R, Lakshana, and Achaya, accompanied by their Interact Club Coordinator, Mrs.Brindha Devi J.
The keynote speaker for the event was Rtn Thesingh, a seasoned Rotarian with decades of experience. His insightful speech emphasized the core values of Rotary, particularly the principle of “Service Above Self.” He delved into the rich history of Rotary International, highlighting its significance in global humanitarian efforts. Rtn Thesingh’s inspiring words motivated the young Interact members to actively participate in community service and make a positive impact on society.R Sanjay, the President of the JSS Public School Interact Club, took the opportunity to address the gathering. He shared his experiences as a leader and expressed gratitude to Rotary Ooty Central for their unwavering support and guidance.
The event provided a valuable platform for the students to interact with experienced Rotarians, gain insights into the organization’s mission, and strengthen their commitment to service. It was an enriching experience that will undoubtedly inspire them to continue their journey as active members of the Interact Club.
