The 34th Annual Prize Day of JSS Public School, Ooty, was a resounding success, culminating a year of dedicated learning. The programme, led by Tharan S B and Lakshana (Class 11), unfolded with grace. Pranav Subramani (Class 10), who was also awarded the “AR trophy for the finest student of the year 2024” sponsored by the Principal Mrs. Anitha Ramesh herself, introduced the Chief Guest, Kavya Ramesh (Class 12) the Guest of Honour, and Vaidehi Dixit (Class 12) the Special Invitee. The Principal, along with Vice Principal R Muddu Mahadev and Assistant Administrative Officer Mr. Prajwal, honoured all dignitaries. Mrs. Anitha Ramesh also mentioned that this trophy will continue to be provided to the deserving student every year until her tenure in JSS.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome by Arnette Anna Jo (Class 12). Distinguished guests included Chief Guest IAS Thirumadhi Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, District Collector; Guest of Honour IPS Thirumadhi N.S. Nisha, Superintendent of Police; and Special Invitee Dr. S. P. Dhanabal, Correspondent.
The dignitaries inspired students. The District Collector encouraged excelling in all aspects. Tmt. Nisha emphasized women’s empowerment and humility. Dr. Dhanabal appreciated the Principal and faculty.
The Prize Day recognized student achievements in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. The “Uttsav’24” cultural extravaganza showcased student talent.
The prize distribution ceremony, with the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and dignitaries, was a highlight. An atmosphere of joy and pride prevailed as students received recognition.
R Sanjay (Class 11) delivered the vote of thanks. The event celebrated student success and the vibrant spirit of JSS Public School, Ooty.
